Included are: quota of Yearly Meeting stock apportioned to monthly meetings within Abington Quarterly Meeting, including Byberry, 1827; quota of Abington Quarterly Meeting, n.d.; printed communication from Philadelphia Monthly Meeting soliciting funds to defray costs of purchasing a lot at 8th & Spruce and building a meeting hosue thereon, 1831; receipt indicating that John Comly, a member of Byberry, donated $125. towards the erection of said meeting house; meeting tax for 1853, Eastburn donation, Joseph Lukens' donation, Walton's donation, communication from Byberry Preparative Meeting, school fund papers, etc.

Byberry Monthly Meeting was established in 1810 by Abington Quarterly Meeting out of Horsham Monthly Meeting. Byberry Preparative Meeting was its only subordinate business meeting. The meeting remained with Hicksite Friends at the time of the Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in 1827; Orthodox members were attached to Frankford Monthly Meeting. The meeting reunited with Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of Friends (Orthodox) in 1955, and is currently active. From the description of...
